CADE FAMILY HISTORY

George THOMPSON and Ellen (née DYSON) THOMPSON lived in Mirfield, Yorkshire, England from at least 1853 onwards. The Census Returns of 1861 for Chapel Hill, St John's, Mirfield, shows George, a thirty-five year old master tailor and born in Rhamsgate (sic) (Ramsgate, KEN) living with his 35 year old wife, Eleanor and their children.

Children:


1. Frederick Henry THOMPSON 1853-1919 (My direct line and great grandfather).
2. Emma THOMPSON – born circa 1855 Easthorpe, Mirfield, Yorkshire, died 1855 Chapel Hill, Easthorpe, Mirfield.
3. Clara THOMPSON – born circa 1857 Mirfield, Yorkshire.
4. Alfred THOMPSON – born 1860 in Mirfield, Yorkshire, and died in Easthorpe, Mirfield in 1864.
5. Harold THOMPSON – born 1864 and died 1867, both in Easthorpe, Mirfield.
