CADE FAMILY HISTORY

Rebecca NEAVE was born on 19 August 1784 at Killingholme LIN, the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (n้e TOMLINSON) NEAVE. She was the wife of John RANSON junior, mother of Mary and the maternal grandmother of Rebecca Ranson COLE.

Rebecca NEAVE's great grandfather, John NEAVE, was a farmer and married Ann BURRILL in 1724 at Killingholme LIN.

They had three known children all born at Killingholme:
1. Mary NEAVE (1724-).

2. Our
Edward NEAVE (1726-).

3. and Ann NEAVE (1729-).


Edward NEAVE married Mary FERRABY in 1747 at Killingholme St Denys, and had one known child, John NEAVE (1747-) baptised at Killingholme.

Mary n้e FERRABY died in 1748 at Killingholme and Edward’s second marriage was to Mary MARVEL in 1754 at Immingham.

They had two known children:

1. Mary NEAVE (1756-) and

2. Our
Thomas NEAVE (1759-1843); both he and his sister, above, were baptised at Habrough LIN.


Thomas NEAVE married Elizabeth TOMLINSON in 1782 at Killingholme and had three known children:

1. Mary NEAVE (1782-1867) and

2. Our
Rebecca NEAVE (1784-1863), both baptised at Killingholme.

3. Elizabeth NEAVE (1786-).

Thomas and Elizabeth (n้e TOMLINSON) NEAVE were buried in Killingholme North, St Denys Cemetery where their epitaph can still be read:
