Our aim is to continue to provide live theatre to the
local community. Bishop Auckland Theatre Society perform at least twice a year
at the Eden Theatre, Bishop Auckland Town Hall.

The group formed in 1932, and was then known as the
Bishop Auckland Little Theatre Club; members would hold meetings in their homes,
until the first formal meeting in 1939.

In 1991 we changed our name to
Bishop Auckland Theatre Society.
