New
VLNA2 Issue B2 document replaces the
previous
individual 23cm VLNA and 13cm
VLNA
documents. Issue B2 of the PDF contains circuit descriptions,
construction and
tuning information for both the 23 and 13cm VLNA. Many of the RW3BP
modifications are now
incorporated. The new VLNA2 kits are easier to tune for
lowest noise
figure and exhibit greater stability than the original design. The 9cm
VLNA
design and details will be updated later. The original version of the
9cm pre-amplifier (VLNA1) is still
available until then. The 23 and 13cm kits now include the MGF4919G,
but if you prefer, I
can supply NE32584C or ATF36077 on request.
Due to popular demand, I am
making a limited number of Upgrade Kits available for earlier
23cm and 13cm VLNAs that used the NE32584C or ATF36077 so that you can
upgrade your pre-amplifiers to the latest VLNA2 build standard. The
kits include:
MGF4919G
3n3H SMD choke (replaces R3)
220R resistor (replaces R4)
small block of absorber material
length of 0.315mm enamelled copper
wire.
Additionally, the 13cm
VLNA2
upgrade includes a 5.6nH inductor to replace L9.

Packet service. You may wish to request the 'International Signed-For'
service where postal deliveries have proven to be a problem.
For payment, I can accept Paypal, cheque (UK only), or Bank Transfer.

Please note that there was an error in the component list. Some digits
in the Coilcraft inductor
