My family (and other animals)

Janet

This was Janet a few minutes after discovering that she owned a car. Not just any car - that's Sooty. She really enjoys driving Sooty and looks after it well. Lisa (Nokia, Huntingdon) made the pink bow and Cox of Ipswich put the flowers in the car before delivering it. A well kept surprise!

Janet & Sooty

You don't often see Emma & William like this - dressed to go to a friend's wedding. Em is a public health practitioner and lives near Loch Lomond. A cello-playing climber, she was a leader on an expedition to Tien Shan.

William has an MEng in Electronics at Edinburgh University, majoring in climbing and skiing! He worked at Nortel Labs in Harlow from April to December '99 as part of his course and now works in Edinburgh.

Brother Colin and his wife, Sarah each busy with a favourite hobby. Colin is polishing the scroll of the 'cello that he has made. You can see how the polish has made the centre of his beard white. In Spring the 'cello will sprout a root or "spike" and, if well watered, will grow into a full sized 'cello or even a bass.

Sarah is about to stab her left index finger from below as she makes her ecclesiastical embroidery. Stop watching the birdie, Sarah! Now she has two crosses in a row you'll have to put your 'Nought' in between or she will win. When not embroidering she plays the harp and the piano, gardens and Scottish dances.

and this is my other brother, Ian and his wife Dawn.
What Ian likes doing you can read all about on

his Web pages.

Dawn is a florist, exotic dancer, photographer and linguist.

This is Holly. She's 8 years old now and still daft! She's half retriever and half "take-away" - i.e. she has a habit of greeting visitors with "presents" (slippers, boots etc). That's fine but she has a habit of leaving them strewn about the yard - the presents, that is, not the visitors (so far)!
