Public Relations Exercise - Demo 2006
1. Maximiser Coordinator
2. Sub 10
3. Catalyst
Noisy, grungy, shouty, experimental: I'm sure that's the effect that Leicester's
Public Relations Exercise are going for here. The sheer aggression is what hits
you on this CD to show you don't need metallic blast beats and constant ear
piercing screams to hit the listener in the gut. There's a tonne of technicality
here which is sure to be appreciated, but they don't go overboard, making this
still easily head-noddable and danceable.
I'm listening to this and liking it, but it's only when I get to Catalyst that I
really start to enjoy it, I don't have a fucking clue what the singer is
shouting about but it's tirelessly energetic and the singer sounds like he's
singing it while walking over hot coals, with a top-class mixture of rising and
falling vocal lines.
This is great music that makes me want to shake about like I'm being exorcised.
