Yay for rock music! And yay for music that conforms to no genre fads! Thoughts Collide is rock music - I can't define it more specifically than that. While there are hints of emo, metal and punk I wouldn't call it any of those. Distinctive vocals, perfect harmonies, twiddly guitar bits (not too many mind), powerchord riffs, peaceful breakdowns, downtuned drilling pummelling breakdowns and enough continuity through the songs to keep the listener sane.
There's only two tracks here, but they both show different sides to the band. While I'll Buy You a Megaphone is fairly original in its blend of styles Sea of a Thousand Nights shows their love for 80s and 90s rock and metal and is much more dark and epic, although not as much my style.
