Tripped and Falling - Ashes and Ember

1. Ashes and Ember
2. Bleed Victoria

There's only 2 tracks to go on here, which makes it kind of difficult to get the full picture of a band, but if that's what I'm presented with, then ho-hum we soldier on.

An extremely assertive, melodic and almost Simple-Plan-esque (that's a compliment, honestly) vocal sound initially wraps itself around an energetic, well produced and riffy body of rock. Every now and again some more metallic influences threaten to take over, but the melodic-rock style that suits them best always prevails thankfully.

The second track is a slower affair but just as cutting as the first and shows a talent in creating well-crafted songs in the manner of Hoobastank, changing sections at the most perfect moments, like you know what's coming, and you hope it happens, and it's so damn satisfying when it does.

So you know, really excellent and blew me away and all that, but are 2 tracks enough to hammer their sound into my head so I'll remember them in a month's time?
