I think I spent the first 2 minutes or so of this album crying with my head in my hands listening to what was possibly the worst "feel-good" pop-punk song in the known universe.

The album improved dramatically thereafter with a plethora of ideas thrown in the musical blender that is Smokin Tequila. Think Less Than Jake style ska and pop punk with some harder-edged Against All Authority and Rancid spats and some "funky" Adequate 7 style breakdowns.

It isn't a perfect soup of all the above ingredients however; there's lots of big lumps of one influence or another, which is not all bad and actually gives the album a fun and varied feel.

I doubt Smokin Tequila will ever be huge, but from the sound of it they're having a right laugh making this music and are sure to raise many smiles along the way.
