"Attention, Attention, you're losing my attention!" is how this CD starts, which does nothing but grab my attention and leaves me with baited breath waiting for what's coming next. The StopMotion Men have thrown out the normal bass guitar and opted for a piano in there instead, giving a massive rock sound with opportunities for a huge dynamic range, which they certainly exploit to the full.
I know this CD is only 3 tracks, but they never quite return to the bouncy energy of the first track that demanded your ears LISTEN, but it does show their scope of ideas when they reach out with the soaring melodies of Fake Your Death and the vocalist gets really gritty occasionally from time to time for a nice contrast to the sweet and light of his higher tunes.
This is really good though, The StopMotion Men are the kind of band that could easily fill an album without getting dull.
