LAP (Life Among People) blend a steady, pulsating metal sound with chugging,
riffing guitars and savage, drawn-out screams combined with echoey melodies. And
while the music initially is highly charged with emotion, tearing up your heart
along with the speakers, it's very much on one level, pretty unchanging through
the course of this mini-album.
The vocals like I said, are echoey, and this was a production choice that fits
the style and the mood of the CD, which is highly atmospheric and floaty,
something which contrasts nicely to the harshness of the rest of the music.
But
I can't get into this band, I found myself really bored halfway through the
first song, and I couldn't wait for the CD to finish so I could listen to
something else.
