If sleazy rock and roll is your thing, you shouldn't miss out on a bit of Dear Superstar. I definitely have to be in the right mood for this kind of music as I find it doesn't always naturally endear me to loving it, but Dear Superstar do the job well with sneering double-tracked vocals embellished with suitable screams to give them the metal-edge that sets them apart from similar bands.
The lyrics are as cheesy as anything you've ever heard (wandering around the streets that have no name | getting high and drinking cheap champagne), but the energy is always there leaving little space to breathe and thus keeping my attention.
Dear Superstar overall show that it isn't too hard to create good, solid rock music.
