Glamour For Better - Do What When Who Attack

1. Darling You're Nothing
2. These Things Take Time
3. Fracture
4. W.T.F. (Swarm v G.V.B.)

I really don't know what to say about Glamour for Better, because they've totally blown away my idea of everything I've ever thought about noisy synth rock. In the past when I've encountered this kind of music there's either been a poor attempt at the 8-bit lines that HORSE the Band do so well, or they've launched into the ravey trance style of Enter Shikari without understanding a thing about dance music (of which I am very passionate about). Refreshingly, Glamour For Better's sound actually works! Their blend of Arctic Monkeys style indie rhythms combined with distorted vocals a-la Atari Teenage Riot and clever electronic beats and synths works together in a fucking delightful way.

Above all though, the thing that makes this kind of music great, is that it's the type of thing you can shove up to full blast and piss your parents off, because there's no way they'll like it, understand it or be able to cope with it - it's full of rebellion and angst and for me, this is groundbreaking.
