Glamour For Better - Shape Cutting Catalyst

Wow, review number 100! I never thought I'd get there!  Anyway, I was discussing these guys on a forum and everyone seemed to come to the conclusion that they really sucked, and there was some real hate going on for "nu-rave" or whatever pigeonhole they want to put it in. I couldn't care what everyone else thinks about this band, I absolutely love their style and the biggest difference between GFB and the well-compared Hadouken! is that GFB is a whole lot more raw, challenging, hardcore, energetic, varied and powerful than Hadouken!'s light and fashionable style. If you've made music which creates as strong reactions as I encountered, you know you're onto a winner.

There's a proper understanding of dance music without using it in a novelty or ironic way, mixing gabba, digital hardcore and even a nod to some old school rave with the Kicks Like a Mule shouts of "not tonight, not-not tonight".

I loved their last CD and I love this one. It's a definite progression from the last and they've branched out into dabbling with a few more styles with great success
