run, WALK!

run, WALK! don't have a guitar player, just drums, bass and vocals. run, WALK!'s sound is always going to be difficult for people to accept because our ears are so used to hearing that beefiness from powerchords. The effect of this on the music is that is sounds quite minimal and bare, not necessarily a bad thing, but don't be expecting the kind of rock music sound that you're used to.
Anyway, enough textural comments and onto the music. The rhythms and vocals have a real sense of purpose behind them, although perhaps the gaps between some of the vocal lines are too long and so the continuity of the tracks is a little stunted at times. The way they use each instrument and vocal gives a refreshing clarity with a cold mood that I cannot liken to any other artist.
This music makes me stroke my chin a little and think.. "hey, this is
alright, this is".
