The Arteries appear to have everything a punk rock band needs. The musicians are talented bringing together their parts as tight as hell. The lyrics seem mostly quite personal, but are easy to relate to. The tunes though - flipping hell - are good. I've not heard songwriting this good for time; it's comparable to Billy Talent and Hot Water Music and every song is singalongable and catchy. There's not too much sheen put on either their music or the presentation which gives the band an endearing modesty that will surely carry them far.
