A cover and a name can often give you an impression of what the music will sound like before you listen.  From the quaint imagery of an old country house with a slightly stormy teal sky and a gentle name like "The Maple Room", I was expecting some indie-lite emo rock.  I was pretty wrong.

After a short, echoey intro the music and screaming hit my like a brick in the gut.  I mean it's not that hardcore, probably closish to From Autumn To Ashes' style of a balance of screaming and singing, but the delivery is so effective.  Every breakdown clears the path for another inevitable brick in the stomach.  There's lots of layers in the music that sweep in and out through the bass and guitars, forming a powerful backdrop to the superbly crafted songs.
