About us
We are a North Leicestershire / East Derbyshire, guitar based rock band playing rock covers from Golden Earring's Radar Love to Ozzie's Paranoid and the Stones' Jumping Jack Flash. We're a "mature " bunch of guys playing what we ( and I hope you as well) like. Click on the names below to find out!
Some history
Jim goes back more years than he would like to admit. He has played in many bands since the Sixties when he must have still been in a crib!
Dave and Al have played together in bands since the Seventies.
Ray had played in bands over many years and met up with Al in 2001. They then played together in a group before getting together with Dave to form “Dambusters”. The search for a vocalist started and one day in 2005 found Jim. Since then, many hours have been spent in practice rooms across Leicestershire. The first gig we played together was in November 2006 as a support act at “The Vic” at Coalville.
Wreckless Venture, keeping truckin'!
(Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, Harmonica, Tambourine (only to annoy Dave) & Maracas)
Jim's been around the Leicester music scene for some time but still thinks he's only 27!!! His biggest handicap is that after a gig he needs "Ralgex" on his knees from jumping around so much! His favourite artistes are the Stones, David Bowie and Greenday but he's also an Opera freak loving Mozart, Bizet and Gounod. Jim was given the nickname “Wolfie” recently after the main character in the old TV show, “Citizen Smith”, due to his political ( with a small “p”) aspirations as he's just got himself elected on to the Groby Parish Council!

Dave's a foreigner in that he's from the West Midlands. His favourite bands include Jethro Tull, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Vixen. He's passionate about history and even subscribes to 'History Today'. Enough said.
ALAIN SKELDING (aka Al, Geezer or Fegg)
(Lead guitar and backing vocals)
Al
is a local (Coalville) lad and plays guitars (lots of them).
His favourite bands include Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jimi
Hendrix Experience.........(and anyone who puts vicious riffs in
their songs).
RAY ASHTON (also known as Slowhand)
(Bass, acoustic guitar Classical guitar and superb backing vocals)
Ray comes from a bit up- north from most of us but now lives near Dave's favourite place the home of the Bass Brewery (Burton on Trent) His favourite bands include include Yes, Wishbone Ash and when he's not playing a mean bass riff he's practising classical guitar.

We play a wide range of rock music from Stones to UFO, Whitesnake to Black Sabbath and Golden Earring to ZZ Top
