Frank Jones retired from teaching at King Edward's Aston in 1936, after forty years. At the outbreak of war he took it upon himself to keep in touch with former pupils serving in the armed forces.

This book (372 pp.) contains the forty letters that he wrote between 1939 and September 1945.
