We were too busy learning about arithmetic progressions, permutations and combinations to realise that our Maths. master was an accomplished watercolourist!
Actually, it was something he only found time for in retirement. By the time I was visiting him in the Methodist Home for the Aged at Wolverhampton, the walls of his room were lined with the most magnfiicent examples of his work: Wales, his beloved Scotland, and his old Oxford College - Jesus.
By kind permission of his family and other new owners, here are some examples of Eric's work. We are asked not to reproduce any of them without their permission. Click on the miniature to see a larger version.
With characteristic thoroughness, Eric had given each painting a catalogue number which can be seen by allowing your mouse to hover over the miniature.
