Column 1 Within a given forename and its variants, filing is chronological by event. Where several events are known to relate to one individual they are grouped together, and filed by each in turn. |
Column 2 Forename(s) only are used for father; maiden name of mother is included when known. |
Column 3 The following single letter abbreviations are used:
A - Adult baptism
B - Birth
C - Baptism
d - Death
D - Burial
F - First known child
(in lieu of marriage)
I - Apprentice
indenture
L - Marriage licence
M - Marriage
N - Census
O - Obituary
P - Probate
R - Miscellaneous
Reference
W - Will
Z - Witness

Column 4 In years, unless followed by 'm' (months), 'w' (weeks), or 'd' (days). |
