Albert Bedney was the 'Ranger' (as officialdom called him) at York's Wood for about 30 years until its closure. He then moved to the new campsite near Bromsgrove. He enjoyed a long retirement in Redditch and Sutton Coldfield.A 'Boxing Day baby' he was well into his eighties when he died in 1998.At York's Wood |
