The Spargo family is the only one of my ancestral lines for which a family Bible has survived. No doubt others existed but none of them has reached me.
This one appears to have been completed mostly by one person, Eliza Jane Spargo (1854-1954), and went with her to California where it is lovingly preserved by her granddaughter, Marion Serres.
When I went to visit her in 1987 Marion very kindly presented me with copies of the entries. There are four pages, of which this is the first:
