VITAL WARNING - Those of you who use the Brother FB100 Disk Drive should be aware that Floppy disks are no longer being made and if your local computer shop still has some it would be advisable to stock up!! FIVE NEW PAGES OF DESIGN ILLUSTRATIONS!! In response to requests I have now compiled pages of illustrations of all my individual design sheets according to categories as follows.
Click the appropriate button to see the pictures, which of course are still available individually by email or snailmail, prices on PRODUCTS page.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ STOP PRESS - I can now accept payment through PayPal. If you have an account click on the PayPal logo below. Even if you don't have a PayPal account of your own I can also accept the following Major Credit Cards through PayPal. I still advise that you contact me, preferably by email before ordering so that I can quote exactly, as the freight charges quoted are for guidelines only and may be less if several items are ordered at once. I can then send a PayPal invoice to make it quick and easy,
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I now have no fewer than 5 Great Grandchildren. Here are two of the jumpers with which I have welcomed little Ezra and April.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A recent commission has been a jumper for horse lover Sandra to wear when she is competing. It is based on my show jumping motif from 'JO'S SPORTS' with personalisation by the addition of the horse's name on the front and and Sandra's name and the name of her Club on the back. Kate Dessau has sent me lovely pictures of the jumpers she has made using my Wren and Skateboard designs both of which she requested and have appeared in MACHINE KNITTING MONTHLY Magazine. She uses a PASSAP machine and the Creation 6 program for the placement of the motifs. Don't they look good! The Skateboard designs are now in the Miscellany collection and the Wrens will shortly be joining the Natural World page.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 2002 was an eventful year for babies in my family and circle of friends, and here is a picture of Cara the long awaited first born of my 'unadopted son' Steve and his wife Michelle, wearing her first 'Jo Newton Designer jumper'
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BORDER COLLIE lovers click on PRODUCTS to see details of my very latest Booklet. You'll love it ..... ! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PDF! PDF! PDF! PDF! PDF! All my books are now available in PDF format for emailing with no postal charges. See PRODUCTS page. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have been busy with several special commissions since the Norwich Show, where I met many old friends, and here is my son Mark wearing what the Punch and Judy man is getting for Christmas and holding the photo from which I worked. 'THAT'S THE WAY TO DO IT' is on the back. For those interested in the technicalities, in the main motif the red is done on the machine and all the rest is Swiss darned or embroidered. I personally prefer doing this to intarsia.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At last I have a photo of the jumpers I made for my great nieces and nephews at Christmas 2000.
From Left to Right horse mad Amelia and Lucy are wearing the Pony mare and foal designs, Andrew, Lucy's twin has his favourite Helicopter from 'Jo's Boys' and cousin Joshua, another farmer's son has the Tractor design from the same book . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
