Euro - Haggis In August 1999, 5 cars set off from Glasgow to travel to the first International Healey weekend based in Luxembourg. Alasdair & Lynne Reid, Stuart & Linda Macintosh, Ian Richards, Peter & Anne Hunt and Ian, Joan, Kim & Gill Walker were in the group joining up on the Hull to Zebrugge ferry with Mike & Muriel Pye from Keswick. So many memorable moments it's hard to pick out the best moments but highlights from this household anyway include having a chat with Roger Manadue & Gerry Coker during the 300 car assembly in Place Guilaumme II, having carefully parked on our own drip mat! Belting round the Nürnburgring, completing the 14 mile circuit of the Nordschleife and sprinting round the go-kart track were all fantastic experiences. Over the week we covered many miles and travelled though England, Belgium, Germany & Luxembourg covering around 2000 miles. Roll on St Moritz 2004 - anyone interested? Photo Gallery - click here |
