    • What it means...

      A very brief description of the terms used...

    • IP Profile

      Data is sent at a lower speed than the DSL Rate which is capped by the IP Profile. It is set automatically by BT's equipment.

    • Download Speed

      This is the speed at which you receive data from the internet. It will vary and depends on a number of factors. The higher the figure the better. This is measured in kbps per second.

    • DSL Connection Rate (Downstream)

      DSL stands for Digital Subscriber Line and the connection rate is the speed of the connection from the internet to the computer. This is measured in kbps per second.

    • Upstream IP Profile

      Same as the IP Profile, but this time for uploads to the internet. This is measured in kbps per second.

    • DSL Connection Rate (Upstream)

      DSL stands for Digital Subscriber Line and the connection rate is the speed of the connection from the computer to the internet. This is measured in kbps per second.
