I was born on 4th April 1964 in Norwich along with my twin brother David. We were raised in nearby Sprowston where our parents, Ivor and Brenda still live. After leaving Sprowston High School, I spent three years studying Mathematics at Leicester University. I moved back to East Anglia in 1986, joining BT Labs (now BT Adastral Park) in Martlesham Heath, Suffolk. 14 years on and I'm still there, currently working as a Project Manager and leading an excellent group of software engineers developing Automated Speech Services.
My partner Valerie and I have 4 children Emma (10), Thomas (13), Danielle (17), and Paul (19). Valerie and Paul also work at BT Adastral Park, Valerie as a Delivery Manager and Paul as a Modern Apprentice. Tom, Emma, and Danielle are still at school. My brother David is a Senior Lecturer and Researcher in Organic Chemistry at Southampton University, my elder sister Judy is an administrator at a local hospital in Stowmarket, Suffolk, and my parents are busier then ever enjoying their retirement.
