In order to select the brightest new recruits, every candidate was asked the following simple question at the end of their interview."Your salary will start at £10,000. Provided your work is satisfactory it will be raised in regular increments. Which would you prefer, a rise of £1,000 every year or a rise of £300 every six months?"
