Diss got off to a slow start and went behind
early on as they played into a strong wind. With the wind and
hail at their backs they had a better second half and gained a
point with an own goal. 19 year old midfielder Jason Hunt made
an impressive debut after being signed from Dereham.
Stuart Anderson shot past Matty Hill to put March
into the lead after 70 seconds. Diss hit back and an effort from
Steve Wright was cleared off the line by Rogan McGeorge. Luke
Pepper missed a good chance to increase the lead for The Hares.
Stuart Jenkinson had a couple of half chances to equalise but
The Tangerines had little complaint at being behind at half
time.
The Tangerines equalised in the 54th
minute. Jenkinson played the ball to the far post and McGeorge
played the ball past his goalkeeper Chris Anker for an own goal.
Anker made a fine save to keep out a well struck shot from
Jenkinson shortly afterwards. Diss had more of the second half
possession but could have been beaten if Anderson had not shot
wide when racing clear with just Hill to beat. |
