Diss Town completed their 2011/12 season with their first nil-nil draw of the season. The match saw only a few chances created and was a typical low key end of season match played on a warm afternoon with a strong breeze blowing. It was a chance for the home players to celebrate with their team as Diss finished third in the table to move back to The Ridgeons Premier Division after a four year absence. After the match Stefan Gilding was presented with The Diss Town Supporters’ Player of the Season. He has played in a defence which had a remarkable finish to the season. In the last eleven games just two goals were conceded – both were penalties. In the same period the eleven games saw 26 goals scored and 26 points gained.
