Shropham Utd Vs Diss Town A
Diss Town A continued their pre season preperations with
a comfortable win away at division 2 side Shropham. Diss
fielded four 16 year olds although Ryan Perry was forced
to come off early on with a hamstring injury. On a
decent pitch the game started with the tangerines on top
and forcing a early corner from a Connor Hain burst
which was headed over the bar by Chris Saunders. Diss
were on top and had another chance minutes later when
James Casbard released Lloyd Miller and his shot from
the edge of the area was well saved by the keeper. Lloyd
Miller was again the man causing problems when he
battled his way through 2 challenges before fireing
wide. The breakthrough came after 25 minutes and it was
deserved. It came when a good move saw Jordan Balls
release Daniel Kerry down the left who delivered a good
cross that found its way to 16 year old George Cole at
the back post and he finished well to make the score
1-0. Just minutes later they could have doubled their
lead when Ben Green released George Cole again but this
time his shot was well saved by the keeper. With 5
minutes to go in the first half the visitors had a
golden chance to score again when Lloyd Miller released
Ben Green who raced through on goal but fired straight
at the keeper who saved well. The backline of Connor
Hain, Lee Tricker, Chris Saunders and Daniel Kerry were
looking strong with Jordan Balls and Dan Rose running
the game in midfield.

quick Max Denny got to the by line but his cross was
well defended. It only took 10 minutes of the second
half for the tangerines to find the net. It came when

This opened the floodgates and the game became stretched
with the visitors looking dangerous from every attack.
It was 3-0 when Cameron Barton was pulled down for a

released Lloyd Miller and he finished well into the
bottom corner for his second of the game. Diss nearly
scored again with a good move started by Connor Hain in
his own area who played a one two with Lloyd Miller and
then dragged his shot wide from the edge of the area.
With 2 minutes to go Shropham scored a consolation goal
when a cross looped into the roof of the net to make the
final score 5-1. Diss Town’s man of the match was 16
