What is The Sealed Knot
The Sealed Knot is a charitable battle, and living history re-enactment society, committed to raising funds for charity by charging a sponsorship fee for re-enacting historic events, most noteably Civil War battles, and community life as it was during mid 17th century Britain.
The Sealed Knot use this sponsorship money to provide history books and historic artifacts to schools and similar institutions.
What does the Sealed Knot do?
The Sealed Knot offers it's sponsors and benefactors the hire of it's dedicated membership of Great Civil War re-enactors (of which there are approximately 6,000 worldwide), and their authentically reproduced weapons, tools, utensils, apparel and other period artifacts which the Sealed Knot re-enactors are keen to present to the public on co-ordinated Living History displays, and to re-enact battles fought in the UK and on mainland Europe during the Seventeenth Century. Although the Sealed Knot Society predominantly covers the English civil wars period (1642-1648).
