Complementary Medicine Therapies

Whilst orthodox modern medicine has an important role to play in the treatment of illness, complementary medicine offers an added dimension.  It is complementary to and supportive of modern medicine and, with a properly qualified practitioner, provides safe, natural and effective treatments to help prevent ill health and strengthen the body's ability to recover from illness and injury.

What most complementary therapies have in common is the aim to treat the whole person; a holistic approach which takes into account not just the symptoms but the individual's overall physical and emotional health.  Practitioners also take account of diet, medical history, stress levels, life style and general state of well being.
