[ Six years older than her husband, it was she who introduced him to Marxism and
bore him two children before being abandoned in ( Czarist ) Siberian exile.
Divorce from Trotsky notwithstanding, she was arrested and deported to Siberia
(again) circa 1935 during Stalin's purges - part of a vendetta against even his
remotest relatives. She is believed to have died there: date and cause
unknown. ]
