Maureen & Dallas
Diego's Dallas

I met Yvonne with Daeger at a trial about 11 years ago. I was quite impressed with this "wee lassie" with the big male Dobermann. I had Jake my Weimaraner who was quite a handful entered at the same trial. We started talking, struck up a friendship and the rest is history. Through training with Yvonne I have had many years of fun and great memories training my dogs. Jake went on to gain CDex and UDex before he started having problems with his joints and I decided to retire him. I took on Gigha another Weimaraner at 20 months old and though I never competed in working trials with her, she has been a joy and so easy to live with. I mated Gigha in 1998 and kept a puppy bitch - Ava. She was a very reserved Weimaraner and sometimes had her own little "issues". Through training at Darcregan I was able to understand what made her tick and she went on to gain CDex and UD com at working trials, unfortunately I lost her on Christmas day 2004 to torsion.
I had always admired the Dobermann and spent a lot of time (around 5 years) looking at the different lines/temperaments. After Ava died I decided as Jake and Gigha were getting on in years (nearly 12 and 13) the time was right to get a new puppy. Along came Diego's Dallas (aka Dallas). She is everything I could wish for in a dog, we bonded the minute I set eyes on her although she is a bit of a handful and far too clever for her own good. We currently attend training classes on a Wednesday evening, agility classes on a Sunday morning and working trial training on a Sunday afternoon. Hopefully Dallas will follow in the footsteps of my other dogs and will be competing in working trials in 2007. She is also going to be in the show ring this year.
I have thorougly enjoyed the years I have spent at Darcregan. The training and atmosphere is second to none. I have made many good friends over the years including my partner in crime "Helen Watson". I am forever grateful to Yvonne for sharing her knowledge with me and for the many wonderful training days spent with such a good friend.
