cover Karate-do Kyohan: The Master Text This is the Karate textbook written by Gichin Funakoshi.
cover Karate-do: My Way of Life Again written by Gichin Funakoshi, this amazing book gives a real insight into the mind of the man largely responsible for for the world-wide proliferation of Karate-Do. A definite "must buy" for any Karate student.
cover The Book of Five Rings This book, written by a Japanese samurai, includes huge amounts of valuable information for practitioners of all martial arts.
cover Hagakure: Book of the Samurai A book that gives the reader an interesting insight into the mind of the samurai and the interpretation of Bushido, the Way of the Warrior.
cover Karate Jutsu: The Original Teachings of Master Funakoshi This was the first book written by Gichin Funakoshi on Karate Jutsu.
cover Karate-do Nyumon: The Master Introductory Test This is a companion to the Kyohan featuring more of Gichin Funakoshi's ideas for Karate-do.
cover Sword and Brush: The Spirit of the Martial Arts A superb set of essays based around the Kanji for various martial arts words and phrases. Highly recommended.
cover Moving Zen: One Man's Journey to the Heart of Karate A fantastic book documenting the experiences of a westerner studying karate in Japan who discovers that there is much more to martial arts than just fighting.
cover Dragon's Touch

This book, written by Kung-Fu Master Hei Long demonstrates just what these techniques we learn are for. This book is not for the faint hearted but you'll never see a kata the same way again.
