Research into my ancestors has reached back to two 'sets' of 9xGreat-Grandparents Thomas and Alice Talbot and John and Margaret Jenyns. I do not have the maiden-names of either Alice or Margaret so they are both listed in my database as née Unknown --- I have quite a few members of the Unknown family.
I have details of my two parents, four grandparents, eight great-grandparents, and fourteen of my sixteen 2xG-Grandparents. Reaching back in time, my 3xG-Grandparents back to 9xG-Grandparents are more difficult to trace, and from a theoretical total of 4,064 in the 3x to 9x range, I have only found 58 so far.
Researching one's Family History must qualify as one of those tasks which can never be fully completed. To merit inclusion in my 58, I need to know the person's surname. This means that so far as Thomas Talbot and Alice are concerned, only Thomas is notched up as a 'hit'.
There follows details of my earliest known ancestors known to me as my research stands at the present time.
You will appreciate that the date and place of birth in most instances is not known with any degree of accuracy (they only appear at a certain location in a certain time as parents of the next generation) so their date of birth is approximated from the marriage or birth of first-known offspring, and the location from where that event occurred. If I have made that sound totally confusing, I can only add that I know exactly what I intended it to mean. (At least I think I do)
