Brian Wilson - The main man, Throughout the sixties, Brian composed, produced and performed the songs that made the group legends.  Brian's constant craving for
perfection lead to Pet Sounds and eventually to his own mental deteriation.
He famously speant nearly half of the seventies in bed, only occaisionally venturing into the studio to assist the band.  Brian fought back against his drug and health
problems under the guidance of controversial psychologist Dr Landy in the eighties and returned to music. His solo career still flourishes today.

everything else!

Dennis Wilson - The wild one. Being blond and athletic, the only Beach Boy who could surf and always in the company of one or two girls, Dennis was the living
embodiment of a Beach Boy.  Although Dennis was seen as only the drummer, he had a fine voice and it was he who got the Beatlemania style screams on stage.
Dennis's true creative skill came to the fore in the late sixties and Beach Boys
albums throughout the seventies would usually include one or two D.Wilson songs
which were always highly emotive and often brilliant. Dennis was the first group
member to release a solo abum in 1977 which shows what talent he had.  Drink, drugs, and wild living lead to Dennis's demise and eventual death by drowning in 1983. His legacy to Beach Boys history can not be underestimated.

Carl Wilson - The quiet brother. Carl often lived in the shadow of both of his elder

withdrew from the world. Carl wrote and produced many superb Beach Boy songs in the seventies and held the group together on stage. In the early eighties, Carl left
the group for a short while to pursue a solo career. Carl released two unsuccessful
albums and eventually returned to the band.  Sadly, Carl lost his battle with cancer in
1998, which ultimately lead to the end of The Beach Boys as a complete unit.

Feel Flows.

although his contribution to the group cannot be ignored. Al was an original Beach
Boy, although did leave the band in the early sixties to study dentistry. He soon
returned when the band began to become successful. Al introduced his love of folk
music to the Beach Boys sound and later began to write songs in this style, these songs were often about the enviroment which Al is passionate about protecting.
Al stayed with the group until shortly after Carl's death, when he set up his own
Friends & Family band after a legal battle with Mike over using the Beach Boys name.

frame-work. Bruce left the group for much of the seventies when he resumed his solo career and wrote hit songs for other artists. Bruce was persuaded to return to the group at the end of the seventies to assist producing and performing, he stayed
with the band throughout the eighties and nineties and still tours with Mike to this day.
