Modified from a film script by Vic and Bob, Catterick became a six part comedy/drama set in a bizarre and sometimes dark world similar in style to 1991's The Weekenders. Vic and Bob play brothers; Chris and Carl Palmer who are a variation of the bouncers seen in the spoof documentary The Club from Bang Bang, Its Reeves & Mortimer.
Also in the cast are regular cohorts Matt Lucas, Morwenna Banks and Charlie Higson plus some great comedy actors like Tim Healy, Julie T Wallace and Dora Bryan.
NOTE: Bang Bang's Kinky John(now Inspector)Fowler and Derek also appear.

Episode 1
Carl Palmer returns to his home town after fifteen years in the army and meets up with his younger brother Chris who has been living alone in their mother's house.  Whilst meeting up with old friends Ian, Frank and Pat in the local pub they are unaware of the armed robbery
being carried out at the car showroom opposite by the deadly Tony.  Carl decides to search for his long lost son and he and Chris steel Tony's getaway Range Rover which contains a stolen briefcase. Chris and Carl head for The Mermade Hotel where staff members Mark and Tess are trying to eradicate some Quink stains from the carpet on the orders of the unpleasant hotel manager; Roy Oates.  Tony vows revenge.

Episode 2
Chris and Carl arrive at The Mermade as the staff prepare for the annual 'Floatilla', Carl chastises Chris after his revelation that he ripped a George Clooney poster in half.
Tony threatens Ian and Glen into giving him Chris's address, he finds the house empty except for a turkey who is soon his next victim. After hearing Ian's answering machine message warning Chris and Carl but divulging their location, Tony heads for The Mermade.
At Mark's jazz-fusion disco night, Carl flirts with Tess, much to the annoyance of Roy.
Tony arrives at the hotel to seek vengeance, but is stopped in his tracks by his mum who drags
him home for tea, Roy and Tess row and Mark presents Chris with the missing half of the
George Clooney poster.  Meanwhile, D.I. Fowler begins his investigation into the robbery.

Episode 3
Mark joins Chris and Carl as they search for Carl's son at Derek's PYO gooseberry farm,
here Mark confesses that he was indirectly responsible for the fatalities at the previous year's
Flotilla and that the only person who knows is Roy Oates to whom Mark has been enslaved
ever since.  Later, Chris performs a display of flautism for The Mermade's guests, Carl and Tess continue to become friendly and an angered Roy fires Mark for taking the afternoon off.
Tony leads his mum to believe that he has landed a night job and attempts to put the
pill-popping Fowler and Webster off his trail.  That night an armed Tony enters the Palmer brothers' room.

Episode 4.
With Mark's help, Chris and Carl manage to escape from Tony and flee the hotel in the Range Rover.  After clearing out the content's of The Mermade's safe and planting the blame on Carl, Chris and Mark, Tony gives chase along with Roy and Tess in Roy's Rolls Royce.
Whilst Mark and the Palmers discover the stolen briefcase containing a considerable amount of cash, the Rolls Royce runs into a pursuing Fowler and Webster.  Tess takes the opportunity to escape from Roy and takes the bag containing the safe's contents with her.  As D.I. Fowler becomes suspicious of Tony, Tony steels Roy's car after first shooting P.C. Webster dead.  Carl, Chris, Mark and Tess reach the garden centre where Carl's son may have worked
and Tess goes her own way after an emotional farewell with Carl.  On their trail is
D.I. Fowler and Roy who admits that his most treasured possession is amongst the items stolen from the safe; his penis in a jar.
