Vic and Bob returned to quiz shows with Families at War which occupied the early Saturday
evening Generation Game/Noel's House Party slot on BBC1.  Under the supervision of
umpire Alice Beer, Vic and Bob captained two teams of families who demonstrated their
individual skills in challenges devised by Vic and Bob; running on a treadmill whilst giving
Leo Sayer a piggyback, dancing with a pig with Chris Tarrant's face, rescuing apes from a
burning building and killing zombies with milk from a cows udder.  The winning team entered
the cubiscus where their captain became The Spider and attempted to pick up prizes whilst
being controlled by a winch.
NOTE: Only Fools and Horses star Buster Merryfield made his last appearance on the show.
