Purported to have existed since 'before time', this creature claimed to be the truth behind the myth; the precursor of the devil figure in all religions, seeping into men's consciousness and intertwining itself in their lives. Known by many names and appearing in the myths and legends of many species, this evil creature seemed to know the innermost secrets of it's victims and played on their most basic fears.
Supposedly before the dawn of creation The Beast was defeated by the Disciples of Light, who imprisoned it in a pit at the centre of a planet orbiting a black hole. This gigantic horned and red-skinned monster waited in chains for aeons, knowing that any attempt at escape would send the planet, and itself, hurtling into the black hole. However an opportunity presented itself when a Human survey team and it's Ood slaves set up a sanctuary base on the planet.
Leaving it's huge body, The Beast's mind possessed a member of the team, covering it's vessel with the ancient writings of it's captors. With an army of Ood at it's disposal, The Beast had escaped it's bondage and risen from the pit to swarm across worlds.
