Intelligent feline carnivores with claws, fangs and night vision, the Cheetah People were expert hunters. Equipped with powers of teleportation, they transported themselves from planet to planet, hunting down their prey before bringing them back to the planet of the Cheetah People. An essentially playful species, anyone unfortunate enough to be caught by them would then be toyed with before being devoured.
The Cheetah People were closely linked to their planet to such an extent that they could be thought of as part of a greater living planetary organism. Volcanic eruptions would occur whenever they fought amongst each other, causing the planet would break up and eventually bringing the world to the brink of destruction.
In fact the planet's influence was so strong that any visitor lucky enough to survive the hunt would slowly succumb to their bestial urges and gradually transform into a Cheetah Person, joining their brethren in their interplanetary hunt.
