A humanoid species with a socio-biological structure not unlike the bees of Earth. While their queen, and perhaps all Chimeron females were similar in appearance to Humans apart from a slight sheen to the skin, the males looked considerably different, with green skin.
Chimeron queens had high frequency antennae behind their ears. The Chimeron hatched their young from pods and had to travel to a brood planet.
The hatchlings grew at an amazing rate, doubling their weight after a few hours and quickly changing from green, blob-like babies into immature humanoids. Hatchlings had a self-defence mechanism in the form of a high-pitched sonic scream which they gained control over during a stage in their development known as the 'singing time'. However even this power was unable to defend the Chimeron against Bannerman invasion.
