Tremendously powerful creatures that existed outside the time-space continuum, the most fearsome of which was Kronos.

Beyond good and evil, the Chronovores changed their appearances at will, sometimes taking the form of glowing avian creatures or huge golden faces.

Kronos was drawn into time by the priests of Atlantis, who bound the Time Eater with the crystal of Kronos, controlling it via the seal of the high priest. However the powers gained by this summoning was soon misused and the crystal of Kronos was hidden in the depths of the temple of Posiedon, guarded by the Minotaur.

Thousands of years later the Master attempted to summon Kronos, in an attempt to gain the same terrible power that was responsible for the sinking of Atlantis.
