John's Ambitions

A few my ambitions - apart from winning the lottery and getting a triple pay rise.

PTSC

Set up your own PTSC (Public Transport Social Club). Don't sit on a train or bus staring out of the windows or head in a book. Make friends with people you travel with each day and start up your own PTSC. I'm one of the founder members of the "320 Bus Crowd". Although we only travel for about 15 minutes each day, we now have over ten members. Some of the things we do are listed below.

Run a National Lottery syndicate Visit the London theatres Go to the Cinema Eat in a restaurant each time its someone's birthday Have a Bar-B-Cue in the summer Take part in pub quiz nights Go on holiday together Celebrate Christmas - have a Christmas Dinner in a restaurant and hold a house party

Ban Faxes

I hate getting paper based faxes. Why do we need fax machines when there is email and WWW. If we do need to transfer images from paper sources, scan it in and send it via a fax modem. At the other end receive it via a fax modem and have it delivered to our email. For outgoing faxes I hate printing things, standing over a fax machine and then putting the sent fax in the in. Ban the Fax !!!

Ban Image Maps

I hate WWW sites that force me to download a image map so that I can see which page to go to next. I also hate sites that assume everyone downloads images. I always have images turned off when I go surfing. If there must be images to guide you around, they must have text within so that I can see what I'm doing. Long live text !!!!
