Murdoch originated in the parish of Lochcarron. Note that the Village was created about 1800, 130 years after he left. This was part of the Clearances of Ross-shire, farmers forced to be fishermen.

Killearman is in Strath Kildonan.
Murdoch was a Farmer and the Messenger-at-Arms in Chapelton in Kildonan.
Shot and mortally wounded when serving a summons for debt on Donald McKenzie of Kilcoy.
Aeneas was the only known child.
Strath Kildonan is the valley that runs from Helmsdale NorthWest inland. Today it is a barren waste, then about 1500 people lived in it untill the Duchess of Caithness cleared them brutally.
