This line of Sage's starts with Kenneth Sage (Saedg ) in London, married on 26 Dec 1669 to Elizabeth Porter at Saint Mary-St , Marlebone Road.
They had a son John who came North had children about 1692 .
Not at present known why they came North, the Parish of Edinkillie was very Rural, all the Barley turned into Whisky that was smuggled South. This activity was stopped by Revenue people. The smugglers then started using West Coast Ports like Inverary in Argyll.
