From 1600 to 1800 several splinter groups of the Church formed. Some of them believed that recording births and marriages was a church function not the states so did not register. It is not known if the Logies belonged to this group as it would not be recorded. However the Sages were all members of Seccessionist Churches so it seems likely that the Logies were also.

At this time Jane McDougal wife of Davis Sage Mother of the following children, Christina Sage, David Sage, Isabella Sage, George Sage and Robert Sage had died recently. Other three children are with David Sage the father of them.
