Birth found on 21 Sept 1856 at Balfron to Isabella Blair, no father and since keeps Mothers name must be not recognised.

In 1901 census he is a Plate layer On Railway. Lives with all the family at Bridgend, Port of Menteith.
At some time they moved to Aberfoyle before 1916.

They seem to have four persons staying with them, described as Pauper or Imbecile. Elizabeth seems to have been the carer, she would have been paid by the Parish where they came into care.

The Blairs have been described by Dad Ritchie as cousins who ran the Post Office in Aberfoyle, cannot actually prove it but there they are in Aberfoyle so no reason why not.
