Person: David Logie

Birthday: 1834

The Logie's looked after the Christina Peebles and David Sage children for several years.
From 1600 to 1800 several splinter groups of the Church formed. Some of them believed that recording births and marriages was a church function not the states so did not register. It is not known if the Logies belonged to this group as it would not be recorded. However the Sages were all members of Dissenting Churches so it seems likely that the Logies were also. No records about the Logies have been found.
The kids are listed with the Logies in 1881 census, rather confusingly they are shown as Sons and Daughters.

In 1881 census shown living at 102 South St, Perth age 47,David Logie work a Cloth Lapper, Wife Christine age 40 Cloth lappers Wife, Daughter Catherine age 20 work Weaver. Son John age 18 work as Smith.
Christina Sage age 15 Daughter, work Weaver, David Sage age 12 Scholar, George Sage age 6 Son, Isabella Sage age 9 Daughter, Robert Sage age 3 Son, are all resident.
George Sage turns into GrandDad Sage a little later.

At this time Jane McDougal wife of David Sage Mother of the following children, Christina Sage, David Sage, Isabella Sage, George Sage and Robert Sage had died recently. Other three children are with David Sage the father of them all.
Perhaps Jane McDougal and Christine were sisters.
